Demonstrating perfectly the purpose of the USS Rich's plaque, an unidentified couple read the story of the USS Rich and her crew. Two people who had probably never heard of the Destroyer Escort USS Rich before, now know of her role during Operation Neptune and the sacrifices made by her crew.
